Abstract

The Electronic Systems Department of General Atomics, San Diego, California, USA produced a high-range gamma monitor installed in the containment for nuclear power plant accidents. Probes and electronics with digital display in the control room. The probe is packaged in a stainless steel cladding to avoid being sprayed by the spray system in the containment and can withstand 150°C (300°F)
