Abstract

Secretary of Energy Charles Duncan announced the new organizational structure, effective from October 1, 1979. The reorganization of several functional bureaus of the Ministry of Energy has been in the works for several weeks and has aroused widespread and mixed comments. It is said that the task of the new minister is to strengthen the implementation of the President's directives and create a good working order in the Ministry of Energy. In the past, it was not possible to do things well in accordance with principles. A major change in the Department of Energy was the elimination of the post of Assistant Secretary for Energy Technologies and the reinstatement of separate departments for different forms of energy (as was the case with the Energy Research and Development Agency). Provides for two Assistant Secretaries to be in charge of the Fossil Energy ProgramĀ
