Abstract

The Canadian government ordered a study of the advantages and disadvantages of selling some or all of its strategic uranium stockpile by the federal government. Stockpiles are estimated at 6.6 million kilograms of uranium, valued at C$825 million. The uranium was originally bought at a cost of 100 million Canadian dollars, so this can make a profit of more than 700 million Canadian dollars.
